You make my heart POP – Valentine Lollipop covers.

Posted on 11 Feb 2015

It’s not too late to get some cute little Valentine’s day gifts done for Saturday. I am making a little something for the friends in my life and spreading the LOVE this weekend – how about you?
I created this cute little cut out lollipop cover using my Silhouette machine. I used red Chiswick Cardstock to cut out my heart shape, and then added some silver stenciling on the front and back for some interest.

valentine lolipopsI Love how the cardstock cuts really well on the Silhouette – clean crisp edges. On the front of the cut out I added a small little heart cut from patterned paper. And around the stick I added some baker’s twine – a cute thick luxurious ribbon and bow will also be gorgeous!

The cover was designed in such a way that the stick of the lollipop can tuck into the circle ties – keeping it nice and secure even without a ribbon or twine.

Step 1 – Cut out the full design on a sheet of red cardstock.

Step 2 – Score and fold the design in half. Pop out the inside of the circle closure at the bottom.

Step 3 – Open up the cover and stencil the front and the back of the hearts. Then assemble the covers over your lollipops and tie on a bow.

And there you have a cute little gift for the big and little kids to hand out to friends and family!
Wishing you a week filled with LOVE.

Creating can be a wonderful journey and therapy making sense of things where life cannot, and I have tuned my life into this philosophy.
