Posted on 28 Jul 2015

Hi – how are you doing?
I am excited to bring you a really fun and easy stamping technique today. I made a quick tag for this technique
using the beautiful butterfly stamp set from Chiswick.

By masking an image you can add colour, texture and design to the background without having it inside the original stamped image.

Here’s how to mask your images:
step 1 – On an inked tag stamp the small butterfly stamp in black ink.
Stamp the same butetrfly 3 times onto white typing paper and cut them out on the lines.
step 1
step 2 – Place the white butterflies onto the stamped butterflies on the tag using your re-positionable Xyron Cartridge.
step 3

step 3 – Stencil over the butterflies using texture paste and a stencil.
step 4

step 4 – Ink over the dry texture paste, add glitter and stamping.
step 5

step 6 – remove the butterflies once you are done with the background design. The original stamped butterflies will be
the original colour of the tag without any images or colour inside of them.
step 6

A quick and easy stamped technique using your gorgeous collection of stamps.
