Happy New Year.
Posted on 31 Dec 2014
From all of us at Chiswick, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy new Year.
May it be filled with light and love
To ring in the new year I made a candle votive in a few easy steps – and of course it involved some glitter!
What better way to ring in the new year with a prayer for all humanity, for our families and friends, for our creativity and every other part of our lives by lighting a candle – so this is what we will be doing tonight.
Here’s how I went about creating this project:
1. I started off by using some of those left over stickers I hardly ever use.
I adhered the stickers to a small glass votive – make sure the numbers stick really well.
2. Use a light colored craft paint and paint over the stickers
3. Immediately after painting over the numbers, sprinkle the wet paint with layer of glitter in the color of your choice.
Leave the paint to dry and then carefully remove the stickers.
*I filled my glass votive with a combination of blue and white wax – it created a really nice multicolored marble effect that shows through the numbers on the front.
A quick and easy project that will look fabulous on the table for your next dinner party or birthday celebration!
Here’s wishing you a prosperous and beautiful 2015 – may your creativity be in abundance
and may you sparkle and shine in every way!
Never let anyone dull your flame…
Lots of Love
