Father’s day card using the Xyron.

Posted on 29 Apr 2015

Creating cards using the Xyron machine is so easy. I love how you can create delicate details for cards and attach them by turning them into stickers.
For this quick card I used a ‘barbwire’ die-cut, cut on my Silhouette machine and then turned into a sticker for a fun funky detail.

For this card I used a white base.
Adhere four pieces of washi tape in a criss cross manner to the front of the card.
Create the barbwire sticker piece on top of the washi tape strips.

Step 1 – Cut the barbwire element out of brown Chiswick cardstock.
Insert the element into the Xyron Creative Station using the Permanent Adhesive cartridge.
step 1
Step 2 – Remove the now turned sticker element from the machine and cut it off using the blade.
Use your fingers and burnish the top part so that the excessive adhesive adheres to the clear plastic.
Remove the plastic and then pull the sticker off from the backing.
step 2
Adhere the sticker die-cut to the front of the card.
Use the chipboard lettering to add the ‘dad’ title to the front of the card.
Add some diamante and resin dots as a finishing touch.
