Painted Palette Sign using POP Paint.

Posted on 16 Aug 2017

Today on the blog I am sharing this painted wooden palette using Pop paint in 2 of my favourite colours. Pop paint is perfect for creating home décor projects
in fashionable colours and fun combinations. Use your favourite quote to create a beautiful statement in your home.

step 1 – Paint a wooden palette with a base colour. I chose Blush for my base colour. Once layer of paint was totally sufficient.

step 2 – Once the paint is dry sand the layer until the surface is smooth. Dust the loose chalk off of the palette using a soft cloth.

step 3 – Cut your quote on the Silhouette in vinyl. Use transfer tape to add the quote to your palette.

step 4 – Make sure the vinyl is burnished well onto the surface. Then paint your second layer of paint in a second colour over the surface.
Leave the paint to dry fully.

step 5 – Once the paint is dry, use a sharp tool and carefully remove the vinyl from the palette.

step 6 – Once the vinyl is removed sand the second layer again to smooth out the surface.
Wax the palette using a clear wax and buff it to a beautiful shine and silky smooth finish. I sanded the edges of the palette a little bit more for a distress look.

In a few easy steps you can create a beautiful home décor item using a wide variety of POP paint colours.
Watch this space for the exciting and new range of colours soon available in this amazing range of furniture and décor paint.
Until next time happy painting!
