Heart-itude | Stamped and coloured tag

Posted on 26 Sep 2016

Welcome to this week’s creative blog post featuring some amazing stamps from the Chiswick stable.
Last week saw us down in Natal (home of Chiswick) teaching classes to a few lucky ladies who joined us.
We had loads of fun as we explored and worked with POP Paint.
But today I am sharing this ‘heart’ tag with you using one of my favourite stamps from Chiswick.
detail2It’s a simple tag but the colours are rich and gorgeous.

step 1 – stamp the heart onto smooth white cardstock in grey or black ink.
step1step 2 – Colour the heart using watercolour paint and leave to dry.
Once the heart is dry, use a paper piercer and make sewing holes all around the edge of the heart.
Sew around the heart using embroidery thread to add a definite line around the open design of the heart.
step2step 3 – Create a tag with texture in the same shades as your heart. Adhere the heart to your tag along with some other embellishments and printed butterfly.

Add diamante to finish off the tag. Use crayons and other art mediums to add definition around the edges of the heart.
A gorgeous stamped tag ready to be attached to a gift for someone really special!
And all because of one special and gorgeous heart stamp.
Until later this week – do something creative using your stamp stash.

Creating can be a wonderful journey and therapy making sense of things where life cannot, and I have tuned my life into this philosophy.
