Coloured Baby wipe card using POP Paint.

Posted on 25 Oct 2016

On the blog today I am sharing a fun card using POP Paint to create a beautiful background as well as a striking sentiment.
detail2I love using baby wipes to clean my craft sheet and cutting mat. But it always seems like such a waste to throw them away.
So I started using them in different ways a couple of years ago. And even today it is one of my favourite things to do – create my own paper with baby wipes.
So I made this card using the baby wipe paper as my card background, and then added a vibrant Zest yellow title and a few embellishments
to finish it off.
Here’s how I create my card step x step
step 1 – Use your POP Paint to paint your chipboard title.
I used a single layer of paint – and found it to be efficient in coverage to cover the chipboard.

step 2 – Use a baby wipe to clean your paint brush [until you can wash it thoroughly]
and also to wipe your craft sheet clean.
TIP: The left over colour from my craft sheet was also picked up by the baby wipe and added some subtle blue and purple
to my baby wipe.

step 3 – Adhere the dry baby wipe to a piece of white cardstock to use as your card background.
TIP: Always adhere thin and flimsy papers with a glue stick. Add the glue to your cardstock and then add the baby wipe or thin paper
to the glued paper and smooth it out with your bone folder or hands.
Leave the glue to dry and settle for a few minutes before cutting with a sharp guillotine or trimmer.

step 4 – Adhere the baby wipe panel to the front of a folder card. Cut apart the sentiment and ink the edges with a dark brown ink.
Adhere the title to your card front and then cover the sentiment with a layer of dimensional glaze.

Finish off your card with a die-cut heart and a diamante.
I love how the texture of the baby wipes make the different colours come to life.
The paint and ink colours create lots of interest and the chalky base of the paint makes for some interesting effects.

Don’t you just love how versatile the POP Paints are? They can be used in so many crafty ways and come in an
