Altered office Manila files with stamping.

Posted on 30 Sep 2015

In another and what seems like a constant battle to organize and re-organize I managed to get some more organizing done in the office.
I had stacks of these Manila office files and although they are a nice colour they are very bland.
So I used one of my new stamp sets to alter and dress them up a bit.
manilla files 2Step 1 – I used this scroll stamp from the dress dummy set – can you see it?
step 1
step 2 – Ink the stamp using black ink.
step 1
TIP: Remember that the ink while being brand new will have a layer of ‘wax’ on top of it, so condition the stamp
by inking and stamping it onto scrap paper several times before tackling your actual project.
This will insure your stamp takes the ink well and you get a nice crisp image.
step 2
step 3 – Stamp the image once onto the file, re-ink the stamp each time before stamping.
Continue to stamp the entire front of the folder but changing the direction of the image each time.
step 4
step 4 – Finish off the files by adding labels to the front.
step 5
I stamped a whole stack of these files using this beautiful scroll image. And now the real organizing and filing can begin.

A really simple project with a huge impact. So go on get organized and dress up those bland items in your office using your stash of stamps.
Happy Stamping!
