Summer sunshine card.
Posted on 07 Dec 2015
Welcome to summer – yes here on the southern half of earth we are having scorching temperatures, so another summery-sunshiny project is quite fitting.
I had some left-overs on my desk from previous projects and so just continued playing to make this fun card.
step 1 – start by colouring a white piece of cardstock using blue ink. Let dry or dry using your heat gun.
Add some sun stenciling using gold texture paste and let dry.
Once the paste is dry use a sponge applicator and burnish the edges using Egyptian gold burnishing paste.
step 2 – Colour a circle using gold ink and let dry. Cut the circle in half.
step 3 – Add double sided tape to the bottom half of the circle. Adhere the tape flush with the top edge.
step 4 – Remove the backing from the tape and sprinkle the tacky side with glitter.
step 5 – Cover the entire piece of tape with glitter and pat down with your fingers.
Return the excess glitter to the container.
TIP: Always sprinkle glitter on a separate sheet of white paper so you can return the rest and not waste any of it.
step 6 – Assemble the card by adhering the bottom glitter part, and then the top circle above it.
Add die-cut butterfly, sentiment and embellishments to finish off this gorgeous summery card.
Warm and cool tones combined together to form a beautiful and vibrant summer card.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful and warm holiday season!
